![]() ![]() This album was chock full of silly hidden things to discover, some of them fairly obvious and some buried and almost impossible to find. ![]() The second culmination was 1983's Secret Messages album which was also in response to the continued accusations. This didn't stop Jeff from continuing to put odd little things in for people to discover from time to time. This was something that Jeff flatly denied and his response was the rather obvious backwards message on 1975's Fire On High telling them to not waste their time believing such nonsense. The first was in 1974 when Jeff was accused of putting backwards Satanic messages in his song Eldorado on the Eldorado album. This culminated in two different instances. ![]() Nearly every project since then has had some hidden little treasure to discover. He began slipping simple, harmless little hidden things into his music (and covers) as early as the Idle Race's first album in 1968. As Jeff was a big fan of them, he probably noticed this and couldn't help but do things himself. They were known for putting hidden little things in their music, such as the "Paul is dead" story. Certainly it can be attributed in part to his cheeky nature that he would sneak little things here and there, but his inspiration probably came, in part, from The Beatles. Show me how.Jeff Lynne's propensity for putting hidden things into his music has a long history throughout his career. It was like you were responding to a post, It's just quite messages with positive affirmations. Herb, it was never about backward ( satanic ) messages. Was it all backwards masked so that I needed to play it backwards to understand what you were saying? You pulled that comment from a totally different post. It takes a lot of might to make a subliminal transferenceĭo you think getting crucified was the hardest part of the plan? On how to properly use subliminal messaging? Were you applauded, that I didn't give a full recipe, "Subliminal messages does not work for a untalented people." (not yours personally, but in a generic, plural sense of the word)īut just in case. No amount of subliminal messaging will help Yoko Ono's Don't Worry song. I'm thinking if you simply just learn how to write better songs, that problem takes care of itself. Too many examples to name.Īs far as putting it in the music (my music) to make people like the music. the S in US was part of the word SEX with the EX part being in the curls of the actress on the cover's hair. I picked up a copy of US magazine many decades ago. Was it intentional? Did the devil make them do it? Does it even really matter? you can record this from their live concert movie (The Song remains the same) and still get a good part of that when played backwards. At least that's what we're supposed to believe. ĭevil worshiping Satanists love using this kind of thing. TV, movies, magazines, advertisements, music. ![]()
